What Each Module Covers

Each module is self-contained and practical. The sequence is designed so skills build on each other where relevant, but each module also functions independently for group bookings.

M1

Basic Plumbing Repairs

Covers faucet cartridge replacement, shutoff valve operation, supply line connections, toilet fill valve and flapper replacement, and basic drain clearing. Scope limitations are discussed explicitly, including when a licensed plumber is required under Israeli building regulations.

M2

Electrical Troubleshooting

Covers outlet testing with a non-contact voltage tester, GFCI outlet reset and replacement, single-pole switch replacement, and basic circuit identification using the breaker panel. The scope section covers what requires a licensed electrician under applicable Israeli regulations.

M3

Drywall Patching

Covers small hole filling with spackle, medium hole repair using mesh patch or backing board, tape and joint compound application, feathering and sanding technique, and basic texture matching. Participants complete a patch from start to finish during the session.

M4

Door and Lock Adjustments

Covers hinge realignment, strike plate repositioning, deadbolt installation and adjustment, door frame minor repair, and sliding door track maintenance. Both interior and exterior door scenarios are practiced.

M5

Job Quoting Workshop

Participants receive printed job scenario sheets representing common residential repair calls. Each scenario requires an on-site assessment approach, material estimate, labor time estimate, and final price. Group discussion follows each round with feedback on approach and pricing logic. The goal is to build a consistent method that works across all four skill modules.
